CLEVELAND STATE UNIVERSITY - CLEVELAND, OHIO
The Rhodes Tower Plaza is Cleveland State's core greenspace and heart of the campus, flanked by the student center, main classroom building, and Rhodes Tower.
A dynamic layout of colored pavements and seat walls organize the 47,000 square foot plaza into a hierarchy of spaces for large events, outdoor dining, small group collaboration, and pockets for individual study and respite.
Constant communication within the multi-disciplinary team during design and construction ensured successful coordination between the structural deck, waterproofing, snow melt system, drainage, water feature, lighting, irrigation, and large tree plantings.
