DWAYNE BROWDER FIELD

CLEVELAND, OHIO

The Dwayne Browder Field, part of Cleveland’s Central neighborhood, has long been a key component for the youth sports program throughout this community. After years of overuse, this natural turf field was replaced with synthetic turf by the City of Cleveland with grants from the Cleveland Browns and the Illuminating Company.

This fast moving design-build project was led by The Motz Group. Working directly with Motz Group, Behnke led the design team, consisting of landscape architects, civil and geotechnical engineers and surveyors for a seamless transition from design through permitting and construction. After a very successful opening, the stadium is being expanded to host high school level competition, in addition to the existing youth sports programs.

Construction Cost:  $1.05 Million
