Fairview Park Middle School & High School

Behnke Landscape Architecture worked closely with AVG, the lead architect, to highlight the historic character of the existing 1929 school while improving pedestrian circulation through accessible entrances and added bike parking.

Behnke also designed two new student courtyards that can function as flexible, multi-purpose spaces that support a wide range of school activities. One courtyard serves the high school wing and can also function as an outdoor dining area. The second courtyard serves the middle school wing and is organized into several smaller spaces that can be used as outdoor classrooms.
