Holy Spirit Catholic Church - Green Infrastructure

LOCATION: Garfield Heights, OH

In coordination with Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Behnke obtained Green Infrastructure grant funding to redesign their existing and unattractive concrete entry area into a more welcoming courtyard space.

The improvements removed the large area of impervious pavement, installed porous pavers, and routed roof drainage into the new infiltration system to better manage stormwater on site. These changes not only upgraded the overall appearance of the property, but also improved drainage performance and provided environmental benefits for the surrounding community and watershed.
