Following a master planning study for John Carroll University's varsity baseball and softball fields, Behnke led the conversion of the existing natural turf fields to synthetic turf.
The redesigned outfields now support multi-purpose use, including football, soccer, and men's and women's lacrosse practices.
To accommodate a multi-purpose field within the existing ballfield footprint, the design maintained a consistent 1% slope and included new and replacement fencing, removable fencing, new bullpens, a baseball backstop with padding, and pitch clocks were added to meet current NCAA requirements.
