Lakewood Softball Field

LOCATION: Lakewood City Schools - Lakewood, OH

This multipurpose field was designed on a former construction staging area for the Lakewood High School expansion and renovation.

With this Behnke Landscape Architecture design, Lakewood has returned Varsity Softball to the high school campus, provided a recreation softball field to the Lakewood community and field events for the high school track and field program.

This multi-phase project began with the direct purchasing of the synthetic turf infield and infield fencing, followed by the installation of fencing, dugouts, outfield drainage, bullpens, bleachers, batting tunnels, scoreboard, plaza, shot-put, and discus areas. The dual press box and concession building was constructed by the students in the carpentry program of Lakewood High School.
