Reservoir Community Center

LOCATION: Akron, OH

CLIENT: Department of Public Service

After completing a thorough site assessment, Behnke Landscape Architecture developed the site plan for the Reservoir Park Community Center in Akron Ohio in conjunction with the community center building redesign by Prime AE. The site redesign includes coordination with the city public pool redesign.

Our team reimagined over-paved and under-utilized areas to make a more vibrant public experience. Site amenities include neighborhood fire pit, public and pool seating, and dining area.

This project also enhances public connections from nearby communities and schools by creating pedestrian and vehicular separation, and by developing a clear and celebrated community center entrance.
