WILLIAMSON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY - YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO

Williamson Hall, home to the YSU Williamson College of Business Administration, is the first building on the YSU campus to earn the LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.  This $34 million, 110,000-square-foot building is more than just the latest building on YSU’s ever-expanding campus -- it is concrete evidence of the university’s continued growth and dynamic evolution into a higher education institution.

As the landscape architect on this project, Behnke utilized native plant materials, bioretention cells, drought tolerant lawns, and permeable pavements to help the project reach its LEED Gold goal.

The project received a 2012 Bronze Brick in Architecture Award from the Brick Industry Association.
